New Product Introduction (NPI)

AQS covers the gap between prototyping and high volume manufacturing. This is managed through our New Product Introduction (NPI) Advantage service. NPI Advantage goes beyond traditional prototyping and includes pilot and short-run manufacturing. To insure a smooth and seamless transition, NPI support begins early in the product development process and adds value throughout your product’s lifecycle to high volume manufacturing. The AQS NPI Advantage enables our customers to reduce cycle times to realize a significant Return On Investment (ROI).

Our experienced and knowledgeable program managers are supported by a cohesive engineering and manufacturing staff all focused on total customer satisfaction. Throughout the entire process our seasoned employees navigate a customer’s product through every stage of the NPI process, mitigating risks and minimizing any potential loss of continuity as the product migrates from a prototype environment, through initial ramp up, to sustainable high volume manufacturing.

Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Supply chain logistics is becoming increasingly complex and dynamic. The multi-tier supply base is growing and your dependence on outsourced manufacturing and logistics is increasing. Managing exceptions are no longer an occasional requirement, but the norm. Glitches at a single supplier or even a supplier’s supplier are affecting your ability to meet customer commitments.

The AQS SCM solution offers companies an opportunity to reduce inventory, increase turns and consolidate procurement requirements. AQS manages material at a system level, providing a one source solution.

Another key differentiator unique to AQS is our innovative electronic hardware kitting solutions. This service is independent to our manufacturing solutions enabling OEMs to control material costs which average 80% of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). AQS can deploy the shipment and delivery of completed kits directly to the OEM. AQS is setting a new standard of excellence in material procurement, global sourcing and inventory management.

PCB Assembly

Maximizing yields, minimizing defects and continually increasing our knowledge leadership in PCB assembly is key to delivering quality products to our customers on-time and within budget.

AQS maintains equipment which as part of our highly automated manufacturing process to insure speed, accuracy, repeatability, flexibility and quality. Our engineering staff is constantly evaluating the latest tools and technology to insure that AQS leads in the ever changing manufacturing process curve.

AQS has implemented stringent DFx metrics for maintaining quality from proof of concept, prototype, re-flow, final inspection and test. Additionally, our ability to efficiently manage and track project data enables delivery of high quality finished goods.

Testing

In Circuit Test (ICT)
Our In Circuit Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) is from Hewlett Packard. The non-multiplexed architecture of this ATE allows fast programming and high-speed operation as well as low overhead in Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Our highly trained professional programming and operations staff insures that maximum efficiency and accuracy is achieved during the test process. AQS is capable of dealing with CAD downloadable data, enabling the machines to provide state of the art vector and vectorless programming.

Flying Probe
AQS utilizes the Teradyne ESI-1004, enabling rapid programming and fast In-Circuit Test (ICT) of low volume products, including prototypes, without the high cost of dedicated fixtures.

Functional Test
AQS is equipped to and capable of performing functional test based on customer-specific requirements. We work closely with our customers to insure the optimal test program is implemented.

Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
AQS utilizes the M&S Electronics NSPEC18 to complement inspection and test for printed circuit boards with a higher accuracy than human inspection.

X-Ray
AQS uses the latest X-Ray technology for verification and failure analysis of solder joints, in particular for use on Ball Grid Arrays (BGAs). This advanced X-ray inspection technique provides more effective quality control, improved failure analysis and enhanced process control to give increased quality and first time test yields as well as a reduction in the cost of rework. Copies of X-ray photographs can be supplied to customers to fulfill their requirements for quality recording.

Integration

AQS provides complete chassis build, box build and system integration assembly which is equipped and organized specifically for electro-mechanical assembly, testing, packaging, warehousing and shipping. We have experienced and highly skilled personnel and capability to build a wide variety of finished products. We are able to ship to you, your distribution channel, or your end customer.
